A Luminous Horizon
“Colour helps to express light—not the physical phenomenon, but the only light that really exists, that in the artist’s brain.” So stated Henri Matisse.
Jordan Pope’s images use colours as a way to express emotions, creating dreamy hillsides at the rise and fall of the day.
Deep purples move into pastel blues and peaches. Pope captures the landscape undulating, forests stacked against the horizon, with the idea of total possibility beckoning forwards.
