“I’ll DJ naked”: Lil Texas Shows Us a Wild Time at Electric Daisy Carnival

The name Lil Texas may not ring a bell for most readers, but the 32-year-old DJ— who indeed hails from the Lone Star state—has been not-so-quietly breaking ground in the electronic music industry for some time now. Lil Texas first made a name for himself in his home state’s hardcore music scene, where his radical 200 BPM rhythm and popular track “I Am Excited” helped to spark the Texcore movement. Since then, he has carefully tended to a uniquely unhinged online presence — one that recently caught the attention of Lady Gaga herself. This fall, Mother Monster tapped Texas to remix “Sine from Above” for her Chromatica Remix album. The release was closely followed by his recent single collaboration with his fellow hardstyle DJ Kayzo, called “Need You.” Next up, the dance cowboy is preparing to self-release a new album this December, a record he primed last month at his performance at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. Below, the hardcore sensation shares a few photos from his wild three days at EDC.

“Started the weekend with the annual Basscon Hardstyle Pool Party at the Strat roof deck. The calm before the utter madness that ensued.”

“Catching some air during an intimate set of die-hard hardstyle fans during the pool party on Thursday.”

“I was by far the prettiest bitch at EDC. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it.”

“Two excellent moods for you and your besties.”

“RNBW always keeps the team on point for any situation. BIG thank you to the official flower of EDC!”

“Looking hot af with UK Hardcore legend DJ Gammer.”

“Packed house during my 4:30 A.M. set on Saturday night. Hardcore is alive and well in the States I don’t care what anyone says.”

“In February I tweeted, ‘If EDC happens, I’ll DJ naked.’ As you can see, I keep my promises. Lost in the hardcore sauce. I didn’t land it and smashed my knee. I’m in pain.”
